Job Position: Linux Support Engineer
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• We are currently recruiting for the role of a Linux Support Engineer.
• As the Linux Support Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for tackling our customer support issues, whether that be queries regarding Network, Server or Cloud.
• However, your focus will lie within Linux maintenance and further development. You will be assigned to one of our high profiled customers, dealing with complex and exciting customer queries.
• Therefore, you must have a customer-centric perspective in the way you work and strive for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing support requests, onsite implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our customer systems.
• Ensure all tickets and documentation are held to a high standard.
• Conduct Site, Network application, Operations, and Environmental Surveys professionally.
• Support our Pre-Sales team with their customer queries and participate in remote implementations. You will also work on internal projects as well, helping out with everything Linux.
• Maintain certification level and knowledge increase in Linux.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working within Linux systems and network administration.
• 2 - 3 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of other Operating System platforms like Windows Server administration will be an advantage.
• RHCSA certification, CCNA certification or comparable experience within professional services.
• Microsoft Azure or AWS knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Solid experience working alongside and communicating with clients or customers.
• A flexible and open-minded individual, who can make educated decisions under pressure.
• Readiness to resume everyday onsite at the customer location.
