Job Position: Logistics Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The Logistics Officer is responsible for the efficient management of the company's fleet of vehicles.
• This includes planning driver routes, monitoring truck movement, and conducting regular inspections of the fleet.
• The Logistics Officer also reports on truck and driver behavior, maintains documentation of the fleet, and attends to driver complaints.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure their roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor truck movements while in transit, ensuring adherence to planned routes and schedules.
• Report any observed truck or driver behavior that may impact safety or operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for the fleet, coordinating with maintenance personnel to ensure timely servicing and repairs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of fleet activities, including driver logs and vehicle maintenance records.
• Attend to driver complaints and concerns, promptly addressing and escalating them to the appropriate operators or supervisors.
• Manage money talk accessories and conduct regular audits to ensure proper handling and accountability.
• Keep proper vehicle records, including registration documents, insurance information, and maintenance history.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or B.Sc in Transport Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the transport field, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
