Nytengale Tech was founded to solve deep problems with advanced robotics. Our first robot is targeting the last-mile delivery market in crowded cities in Europe and North America. We are seeking to make a self-driving delivery robot that reduces the last mile delivery cost by 1 order of magnitude. We are currently building out our hardware development team and testing out our first product.

Job Position: Mechanical Technician
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

About the Job

• We’re looking to add motivated, versatile, curious and hardworking engineers and technicians to the team.
• On a day-to-day basis, the Mechanical Technician will work closely with the CEO and other members of the team to drive the goal of the organisation.
• A good fit for this role will have an excellent aptitude for the job, is willing to learn, be resourceful, patient and highly creative in problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Regularly ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Fabricating and constructing metal components.
• Grinding and finishing completed products.
• Complying with state and company safety regulations.
• Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, et.c.
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to the template.
• Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
• Operate laser cutters.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND qualification
• Experience fabricating and repairing stainless steel, metals, mild steel, cutting, welding, drilling, machine tools, etc.
• Experience cutting and fabricating of aluminium is desirable.
• Experience cutting and fabricating of stainless and mild steel.
• Ability to weld mild steel and stainless steel
• Very keen eye for details
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Proximity to Lekki, Lagos.

Salary
N90,000 - N110,000 Monthly.
