Norsworthy Farms and Agro-Allied Industries Recruitment for Graduate Trainee (Maintenance)

Norsworthy Farms and Agro-Allied Industries is a farm located in Delta State and currently has over a thousand hectares of palm fruit and a 10 ton/hr processing mill located in Akwukwu-Igbo area of the State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Graduate Trainee (Maintenance)

Job Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• To compile all daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports of production equipment.
• To ensure reduction of fleet downtime by providing speedy rescue to distressed equipment.
• To ensure optimal operations of equipment by calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintain work flow by monitoring equipment of the process, settling processing variables, observing control points and implenmenting cost reduction, facilitating corrections to malfunctioning within process controls point
• Ensure all maintenance are carried out in daily bases and repairs as per the preventive maintenance culture of the company.
• To ensure the mill runs at the higest possible processing efficiency.
• To give all processing equipment monthly report and filed to date. To coordinate schedule on equipment maintenance and repairs including preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• To ensure all aspects of line changeover within minimum downtime.
• To adhere to safe working practices and train colleagues at work.
• To ensure machine spare parts are available in the stores.
• To ensure parts installation are carried out efficiently.
• To ensure company policies and guidelines on maintenance are adhered to
• To keep all records of approved and defective parts of equipment.
• Ensure all logging of downtime via manual/automated system providing accurate site management information.

Requirements

• HND / B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• 1 - 2 years experience in a production plant or preferably a mill processing plant.
