1.) Forecasting & Scenario Planning Analyst

Position Overview

  • This role is to support the finance planning process, to develop decision support models, tools, and frameworks needed to execute business requirements and strategies.
  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to assist in creation of business plan, collaborating across the Africa Organization Unit.

Function-Related Activities/Key Responsibilities 

  • Support Coca-Cola P&L and Scenario Planning within the Africa Organization Unit , including:
  • Scenario Planning Modelling, contingency, what if?
  • Contingency plans
  • Risk Mitigation
  • Review and analyze Financial data (Actual Results, Rolling Estimate, Business Plan, Brand Contribution, Economic Profit, etc.).
  • Generate insights for a 3-year Business Plan cycle, perform scenarios and make recommendations to senior finance managers.  

Knowledge & Experience  

  • 3 years of experience in financial planning or commercial finance roles
  • Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Profound understanding of Coca-Cola P&L drivers
  • Proficiency in Coca-Cola reporting tools (e.g. Hyperion).

2.) Shopper Insights Manager

Job Description Summary
Shopper insights:

  • Leads development of shopper understanding with focus on key OU channels and shopper journey. Generate key shopper insights by channel.
  • Ensure that key category, and shopper marketing plans are reflective of changing shopper need states and behaviour.
  • Lead the mining of digital shopper insights and work closely with the CCL and IMX teams to drive the execution of digital and ecommerce plans.
  • Model and promote a shopper-first mentality throughout the organization through active immersion, communication of consumer and shopper learning, and sharing of insights.
  • Devise, manage and deliver insights to IMX to support package design, design guidance and standards and apply thinking marketing around E2E consumer journey (Experience Orchestration and Experience Consistency).

Commercial Insights:

  • Partner with the Category Leads and the CCL leads with clear actionable commercial insights based on primary sales, channel, pack, price linked analytics.
  • Lead all ad hoc research projects across categories that include price, pack or channel variables – example conjoint studies.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to business plans, growth forecasts, brand strategies and new product launch plans for all brands in Africa Portfolio.
  • OU Shopper Insights Lead will carry out duties equally through her/his team (including situational coaching and talent development) and individually; and interacting regularly with the OU Insights Lead, OU Insights Team, Global Insights lead, with OU Marketing Lead and broader OU marketing and C&CL teams.

Requirements
Experience:

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience including Market Research, Shopper insights, Commercial Analytics preference for additional Marketing, Innovation, experience.

Profile:

  • Must be collaborative in nature, comfortable both contributing to and utilizing global insights, strategies and activations from around the network
  • Be a key partner with business and P&L owners to enable better decision making founded on deep consumer, macro forces and commercial insights.
  • Provide customer support to brands and Operating Unit to enable brand equity building and consumer relationship building, recruitment and loyalty across TCCC portfolio.
  • Be a visible and proactive internal and external leader on behalf of Human Insights and TCCC. Internally: Be a fact-based voice, gaining seat at the table in key business process and decision making.  Foster the development of talent and capabilities across the insight’s community and geographies. Externally: Represent TCCC’s point of view in the research and analytics arena and push the envelope for better research standards, data quality and accountability across the industry to benefit companies and consumers.

Work Focus:

  • Able to conceptualize frameworks and research models for diverse marketing and consumer insights problems.
  • Required to tackle structured and unstructured problems coordinating all phases of analysis from formulation to conclusions / recommendations.
  • Comfortable with both large amounts of data, and qualitative insight, iterations with research and technology vendors and able to design effective and efficient insight programs to address business questions.
  • Ability to provide cross functional expert knowledge
  • Ability to identify, suggest and implement improvements in the area of assessing and understanding shopper and commercial insights

3.) Senior Tax Manager - Africa

Job Description Summary
Operating Unit Partnership and Support:

  • Partner with the Africa Operating Unit to advise regarding the tax impact of existing business models. The role will also play a pivotal role on design and implementation of new business/tax models (for existing and/or new product offerings), with and end-to-end mindset; considering the potential impact across the whole Coca-Cola system) while maintaining a strong focus on governance and compliance.  This role should ensure that the appropriate amounts of tax are paid.

Lead local Tax Management:

  • Contribute to, and at times develop, and execute tax strategies and policies encompassing continuity of operations, adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, and maintain the highest standards for governance and accounting records.
  • Manages multi-country tax complexities to support business while ensuring perfect compliance and governance
  • Leads local management and defense of tax audits under the guidance of Corporate Tax and working with internal advisors and stakeholders.

Reporting and Monitoring:

  • Update stakeholders regarding ongoing tax issues. The update is a key component in the routines that monitor open tax matters.
  • Monitor tax compliance status for all taxes. This is an area that is expected to develop over time and the Tax Manager the leader is expected to have a significant input into this development.

Best Practice Sharing:

  • Ensure close collaboration with PS Financial Services, other OUs and Corporate Tax teams to deliver execution at the highest appropriate level.
  • Share/implement best practices from other OUs, MNCs and advisors.

External Affairs:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify short, medium and long term trends/opportunities and where appropriate in conjunction with government relations/legal/Financial Services/Corporate Tax to assist in development and execution of strategies intended to influence government

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus a professional Accounting and/or Tax qualification.  The ideal candidate has a Master's in Taxation.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Ability to effectively understand and guide the resolution of tax issues and challenges in the countries under scope
  • Detailed understanding of the principals of taxes and the ability to apply these to Countries and reconcile and manage differences in law and practice
  • The position requires leadership skills, tax, accounting and business thinking, knowledge of tax and financial management strategies, combined with collaboration and stakeholder influencing
  • Leadership skills and team player to drive agenda and alignment.
  • Self-starter with ability to work as efficiently independently with minimal supervision.
  • Planning, process, and delivery management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-tax professionals
  • Proven track record in delivering results at a mid-level in a tax role in operations and/or consulting organizations. Strong accounting skills would be a benefit.
  • Project management experience in tax processes understanding relationships between total tax optimization, business needs and perfect governance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage different levels of seniority across geographies within Coca-Cola and with tax authorities and advisors.
