Preschool Teacher - Ages 4 to 5

Job Summary

• We are looking to hire a Preschool Teacher for the Reception class. The job holder's duty will revolve around preparing pupils of ages 4 to 5 years for their entry into Primary One using the EYFS curriculum.

Location - Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Education and Work Experience

• Minimum of National Certificate in Education (NCE)
• Training in EYFS and Jolly Phonics
• Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching at the preschool level

Job Description

• Plan and carry out activities in line with the requirement of EYFS curriculum.
• Develop a work scheme and lesson plan to motivate pupils to learn.
• Be a positive role model and consistently demonstrate the positive behavior, attitude, and values that are expected of pupils
• Build and maintain relationships with parents and guardians to further support pupils.
• Set clear and challenging EYFS targets, and use a variety of appropriate resources to improve pupils' learning
• Assist with the development of pupils’ personal, social, and language development.
• Encourage children’s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play.
• Develop pupils’ curiosity and knowledge.
• Keep all records and data on pupils’ progress.
• Ensure that the health and safety of each child are maintained during all activities in and out of class.
• Work as a team with colleagues to ensure that all pupils are tidy and pupils' things are organized at the point of departure from school.
