Job Position: Procurement Associate

About the Role


  • We are looking for a Procurement Associate who is analytical, team-oriented, well-organized, self-motivated, and experienced in pharmaceutical procurement.
  • You will play a crucial role in assisting in optimizing the procurement process at Lifestores to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to support the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating procurement activities while adhering to industry regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing, sourcing, and negotiating SLAs with engaging and onboarding new suppliers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the procurement needs and requirements of customers
  • Maintaining strong relations with existing suppliers
  • Conducting price reviews
  • Updating the OGA Pharmacy formulary list and ensuring new products are updates on Pharm IQ
  • Collecting and analyzing procurement data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Securing special orders and tracking supplier performance and using the data to improve performance
  • Conducting demand/ reorder planning, negotiating for improved Items
  • Assisting in sourcing, evaluating and selecting of suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, delivery
  • Following up on orders sent to suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensuring full availability of products, securing promotional discounts from suppliers
  • You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that deliverables are actualized
  • You will also support with other supply chain initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Pharmacology, Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
