Job Position: Procurement Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Manage all procurement processes seamlessly.
- Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services required for the smooth functioning of the company.
- Identify quality suppliers/vendors for all goods and services needed by the company.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure that all procured goods and services meet that standard and specification.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to optimize procurement processes.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future demand to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or service standards.
- Generate reports and analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures.
- Sound knowledge of both technical and non-technical items
Qualifications / Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a B.Scor HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Procurement Officer.
- Previous experience in a similar role in the Construction, Oil and Gas sector will be an added advantage
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
