iBez is a software company that provides custom web/software development, application support and maintenance, search engine optimisation (SEO), training and IT advisory services. We own the online platforms Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Product Management Intern
Job Location: Lagos

Job Purpose
- This is an internship position. This role is for people that to wish to push themselves to the next level, gain hands-on practical experience and develop their careers in Product Management whilst adding value to iBez.
- The Product Management Intern will be involved in all aspects of managing the online platforms Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share (still in development) to improve their performance, efficiency, usage, and profitability.
- You will be our Brand Ambassador and provide customer services to users, draw our target users in, generate new business and identify new markets for the platforms taking overall responsibility for their success.
The duties will include the following, but not be limited to:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share platforms including strategy implementation, brand development, marketing, sales, quality assurance, legal, and application development working closely with other staff and stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet end users’ needs and their respective strategic objectives.
- Registering new service providers (trade workers) on Handy-Jacks and promoting usage using both traditional and digital methods.
- Identifying and developing new or existing ideas and features for Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share to ensure that they are cutting edge, compliant and working as expected always.
- Overseeing the development of new features or upgrades and supervising testing and implementation.
- Identifying potential users, partners, and stakeholders, build long term relationships with them, and maintaining contacts.
- Identifying new markets for Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share to expand into.
- Be the main point of contact for users and the public to provide information, support, and guidance, handle general requests and queries either face-to-face, over the phone or via email and maintain an accurate client contact log. Collect, analyse, and respond to user complaints and feedback.
- Meeting regularly with all stakeholders, including developers, marketers, customer service, and external stakeholders to carry out upgrades, marketing & sales campaigns, product demonstrations, training, and presentations.
- Advertise, market, promote and publicise Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share using traditional and digital methods.
- Production of digital content for Handy-Jacks and Lets-Share websites and social media accounts. Share and promote content on social platforms daily,
- Maintain an accurate client, partners, and vendors databases and CRM system.
- Attend industry events, trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings to network and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Track daily usage. Generate and analyse feedback and usage data from the applications for reports and product improvement.
- Participate in all iBez training events.
- Conduct marketing research and competitor analysis. Collate and maintain market intelligence about technologies, products, customers, and competitors. Report on general activities, community, and industry trends.
- Inspire and enthuse colleagues and users of the product.
- Supervise any field and/or temporary staff, as necessary.
- AOB.
Qualification
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree.
Personal Skills Required:
- A self-starter, driven, ready, willing to learn and can work as part of a small but varied team in a technology start-up, spot new opportunities and add value.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision using own initiative.
- Tenacious, dogged, and creative sales/marketing approach.
- Some knowledge or understanding of ICT, data, databases, and SQL.
- Understanding of project management.
- Ability to meet targets and deliver in a timely manner.
- Very organised with good attention to detail.
- Time management / scheduling skills.
- Research skills.
- Must own a laptop and have access to the internet.
Working Hours
- Flexible hybrid work. Normal working hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday either remote/virtual or onsite. Additional hours or weekend work may be required during critical development phases, when problems arise, or during iBez trainings or events.

What To Expect
- This is a challenging but very interesting and rewarding role. You will have a lot of responsibilities especially given the complexity of the products you will manage.
- The role is both desk and field based, and you will need to meet regularly with stakeholders.
- Your presentation matters as you will have regular meetings with very senior people including company heads, and the press, so formal business attire is expected.
- The work may be stressful on occasions, for example when launching a new feature, overseeing several projects running concurrently, during a crisis or meeting a tight deadline so the ability to be calm under pressure is a must.
- There is frequent contact with technical staff thus an appreciation of IT, data and database concepts is useful.
- Negotiable stipend depending on skills and experience.
