Job Position: Project Account Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

• The Project Account Officer plays a vital role in keeping track of project costs and reporting them in a manner useful for management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage credit accounts and accounts payable/receivable, including customer invoices and supplier bills.
• Handle payment processing and account settlements.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Monitor and keep track of project costs.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support budget preparation and financial planning activities.
• Liaise with government agencies and external bodies to ensure timely filing and compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Communicate with customers, management, and suppliers to resolve financial matters.
• Conduct material inventory checks for ongoing projects.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of materials.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in any accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or ability to conduct material inventory checks is required.

Compensation and Benefit

• HMO
• Salary expectation: N250,000 per month.
