UAC Foods Limited operating in the food sector of the economy is a leading producer of snacks, beverages, and ice cream. Our brands include Gala Sausage Roll, Funtime Coconut Chips, Groundnut chips, SWAN Natural Spring Water and Supreme Ice Cream.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Project Engineer 
Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Partner with relevant stakeholders to drive project conception/planning, execution, modification of plant with a view to improving efficiency and productivity and systematic follow up on the management approved Annual Estimate for CAPEX that borders on Capital Projects.

You will be Accountable for

• Ensuring that all projects are executed at the best costs and delivered to specification and schedule.
• Effective planning and efficient installation of new equipment in all existing locations of the three factories.
• Vetting Bills of Quantities (BOQ) as developed by Engineers and Project Consultant to ensure their conformance to agreed designs.
• Preparing economic/technical justifications for projects and analyzing the cost benefits as it relates to the overall co-operate objective of the organization.
• Building a strong strategic alliance with local and foreign Suppliers/Contractors to obtain high quality of products and services at minimum cost.
• Adequate study, design and recommendation for modification, production machineries with a view to achieving optimum machine utilization and meeting customer deliveries.
• Formulating departmental objectives, policies and strategies ensuring that the necessary plans required for the realization of the overall business objectives and goals are put in place.
• Generating information concerning plant capacity, efficiency issues, developments in technology, etc. that may influence corporate decision-making.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering or relevant disciplines with NYSC certificate
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years must be Project Management experience in FMCG.
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Possession of an internationally recognised Project Management Certification will be an added advantage.
