We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Project Supply Chain Manager
Job Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Defining, coordinating, and monitoring the supply chain activities in the project according to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures in order to ensure the optimal running of the project.
- Monitoring and ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the following supply activities in the coordination: order processing, local purchase management, physical (warehousing), and administrative (management of movements) stock management.
- Managing the team, and in collaboration with the Deputy Coordinator of Supply Chain, participating in the planning and implementation of HR-associated processes (training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development, and communication) of the staff under his responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all supply activities.
- In collaboration with the Deputy Coordinator Supply chain, planning, establishing, and reviewing the supply activities in the coordination including its budget, in order to identify and optimize the response to the needs of the mission and the targeted population.
- Ensuring the availability of relevant management data to the owners of the stock, project, and capital coordination (expired drugs, risk of shortages, stock reports, lead time, pipeline, etc.).
- Participating in monthly reporting according to guidelines.
MSF Section/Context-Specific Accountabilities:
- Monitoring and ensuring a smooth-running supply administration and the respect of the implemented supply procedures, proposing adjustments where needed.
- Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their order status (BO confirmation), and prioritizing procurement needs. (Biweekly order overviews).
- Ensuring the weekly/Bi-weekly stock overviews are shared with the pharma teams.
- Ensuring that the purchasing officer and warehouse supervisor maintain the correct filing and archiving of the supply documentation in order to guarantee the availability and the coherence of supply data.
- Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the Supply Chain team, including the purchasing officer and warehouse supervisor, and ensuring they perform the tasks linked to their role.
- Performing any other tasks within the scope of his role, as directed by supervision and according to the needs of the mission.
Requirements
- Essential degree and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain
- English and Local Language.
- Computer literacy, especially expertise in Advanced Excel
