We are building the largest network of mechanics and technicians in Africa and verifying and certifying their technical knowledge and professionalism. At the heart of what we do, we want to ensure that every car owner has access to at least five (5) qualified and certified technicians within 5 minutes radius, anywhere in Nigeria.

Job Description

  • The quality control Officer will oversee all facets of quality management & control within the Auto care division.
  • He will be responsible for the supervision of all automobile engagement such as repairs, maintenance, services carried out by all Jiffix Experts.
  • He will manage all job controllers and the quality care team to ensure all jobs are completed to global standards & meet up with delivery time.
  • This is a hands-on, managerial, extremely fast-paced position requiring the ideal candidate to have good problem solving, organization, communication and management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, manage & support the job controller(s) and expert(s) on all assigned jobs.
  • Conduct, support & supervise all diagnosis, maintenance & repairs of vehicle automotive systems both on internal & mobile jobs.
  • Take responsibility for the health, location and status of all vehicles from point of receipt to point of delivery.
  • Utilize (or create as required) work instructions and operating procedures for new or changed processes, as well as rework instructions for non-standard operations.
  • Interpret standards, specifications, quality requirements, and quality planning for client/customer inspections/repairs.
  • Assure that the quality level of the finished jobs meets the customer’s expectations & global job standards.
  • Supervise & guide the coordination of all repairs & maintenance activities.
  • Conduct quality test on all completed jobs, and test components & systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machines and manage asset inventory.
  • Develop & prepare routine reports, monthly reports and ensure readiness for quality checks from partners and other purposes.
  • Participate & facilitate monthly training & seminars for job controllers, experts & technicians.
  • Conduct quality review & approval for all inspection, maintenance & procurement reports due.
  • Maintain & ensure optimal communication flow across all Auto care units for all jobs & team related activities.
  • Provide support & content for the communications unit as required.
  • Provide quality training to Auto care department personnel and participate in strategic planning & development for the organization.

Qualifications

  • A Higher Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related courses.
  • Must be certified as an automotive technician with proven knowledge & experience in automotive maintenance & management.
  • Must have a background experience as a mechanic or auto technician.
  • A minimum of (5) years of comprehensive experience in the automotive industry with varying knowledge of parts & procurement, customer relationship, workshop control/management and quality control/management.
  • Experience with quality control/management is a must. Must be experienced with quality improvement tools & techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, & problem-solving skills. Previous experience in a leadership role is highly desired.
  • Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal & written, organization, & time management skills.
  • Great meticulousness. Must pay attention to detail always.
  • Must be a good team player, precise & flexible. Willingness to continually learn & enhance your skillset.
