Shaldag Limited commenced as a greenfield aquaculture company in 2014 to produce high quality fish products for consumption in Nigeria. Shaldag produces African Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) from its 2,500MT per annum capacity farm in Epe, Lagos and recently forward integrated into the production of smoke-dried and packaged fish products. These products now retail in over 200 supermarkets and hyper-stores across the Country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Quality Control Specialist

Job Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The successful candidate is expected to develop and implement quality assurance policies, conduct inspections, identify product issues and present solutions.
• As a QA/QC Specialist, you will ensure that inbound and outbound products meet company and customer expectations by making sure the correct Quality Management Systems (QMS) are being adhered to.
• Floor Support: Support investigation or improvement process.
• Water Quality assurance for product processing, verification of finished products and assessment of equipment efficiency.
• Raw materials, packing materials inspection analysis & documentation as specified in the ISO22000 manual.
• Monitoring of in-process relating inspection, finished products analysis & documentation as specified.
• Maintaining daily/weekly logs & data records associated with job function( non-conforming materials/analysis, correction action log, on hold logs & net content files etc).
• Factory & personnel hygiene Sanitation Audit
• Carry out company policy on all required Manufacturing Practices.
• Food Safety requirements & escalate Food safety findings or incidents.

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc in MicroBiology, Biochemistry or any related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related Quality Assurance/ Control experience.
• Candidate must be willing to reside in Epe or it's environs
• Thorough knowledge of quality management practices and statistical techniques
• Experience in the agricultural service sector, working knowledge of good delivery and agricultural guidelines for produce is added advantage.
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Familiar with ISO22000 (SOPs, Development And Implementation).
• Knowledge of fish farm biosecurity is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP is crucial.
