Remote Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Remote Senior Systems Engineer required by a Next-Generation Managed IT & Cloud Services Provider operating in the United Kingdom and Australia. The Systems Engineer will provide hands-on remote support to ensure the effective running of customer systems and services.

Job Description

• The Systems Engineer will be a proactive team player and thrive in an environment where they can continue to develop skills and certifications, and be able to be hands-on and get involved in aspects of IT, Cybersecurity and Cloud support and implementations.
• From on-premises IT infrastructure to cloud support, migrations, installations, Microsoft Intune MDM (Android and Apple), and patching servers and workstations to working the requests on the Service Desk, no two days are the same allowing you to expand your knowledge in new areas and perfect your prior expertise.
• This is a fast-paced and demanding environment, exceptional English communication skills and the ability to stay calm and clear when dealing with end-user issues are integral to success within this role.
• Excellent organizational skills are required to ensure customers are proactively managed through the highest service levels
• You will be providing telephonic, and email support to non-technical end users, as well as technical IT Admins.

Key knowledge Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of Office 365 support would be extremely beneficial, as well as extensive experience supporting all aspects of Microsoft 365 including Teams and OneDrive.
• Understanding network protocols and administering and implementing technologies such as routing, switching and firewalls are also key.
• The ability to confidently utilise Powershell for Microsoft 365 administration
• The ideal candidate would have an excellent general understanding of servers, storage, networking, Microsoft 365 and Azure
• You should have had some exposure to Microsoft Endpoint Manager and InTune
• Ideally have has experience working for a technology vendor or IT Services provider

CompTIA Network + (advantageous)

CompTIA Security + (advantageous)

Working Hours:

United Kingdom Business Hours 8am to 5:30pm with some after-hours work.
