Position Overview
- We are seeking a Lead Research Consultant, a senior-level professional that will be responsible for overseeing and managing research projects, leading a multi-disciplinary team, and providing expert guidance and strategic insights on projects to clients or organizations.
- This role plays a critical part in driving research initiatives, delivering high-quality research outputs, and contributing to the growth and success of projects.
Responsibilities
- Research Project Management: Lead and oversee the end-to-end management of research projects, from planning and designing methodologies to data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Compliance Management: Ensure that projects meet up to the best possible standards, ensure project plans are detailed and followed through and output meets industry standards.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee data collection activities and ensure the use of appropriate data analysis techniques to derive meaningful insights and actionable recommendations from research findings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of research data, methodologies, and analysis, adhering to ethical standards and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of research projects and the professional development of team members.
- Research Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to understand research objectives, define research strategies, and develop innovative approaches to address complex research challenges.
- Report Writing and Presentation: Prepare and present comprehensive research reports, synthesizing findings, methodologies, and strategic recommendations in a clear and impactful manner for clients or stakeholders.
- Industry and Market Research: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry studies to stay updated on trends, developments, and best practices relevant to the research consulting practice.
- Thought Leadership: Demonstrate thought leadership by publishing research articles, presenting at conferences, and contributing to research publications to enhance the firm's reputation and visibility.
- Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for clients, engaging in regular communications to update them on research progress, address inquiries, and manage expectations.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential research opportunities, developing proposals, and participating in client pitches or presentations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest research methodologies, tools, and trends, and encourage the team's professional growth through training and development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Ph.D. Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance or Accounting, Social Sciences, Business, Economics, etc.).
- Should possess lecturing experience in a higher institution of learning.
- Leadership and team management abilities to guide and inspire a team of researchers.
- Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills for buildingand maintaining client relationships.
- Project management expertise to handle multiple research projects with competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining research integrity and ethical standards.
- Extensive experience as a Research Lead Consultant or in a similar research-focused leadership role.
- Proven expertise in research methodologies, data collection, and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and derive strategic insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and delivering presentations.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking to contribute to the growth and success of the research consulting practice.
