Description

• We seeks a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join our fast-growing tech startup. As a key finance team member, you will be vital in managing financial processes to support our rapid growth.
• We're looking for someone who brings strong accounting skills and thrives in a dynamic and agile startup culture.

Responsibilities

• Control Transactions: Oversee and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial transactions. Implement robust controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain high financial data integrity.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, leveraging your analytical skills to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee accounts payable to ensure timely payments while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations.
• Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Utilize tools like Quickbooks and Wave for efficient bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare Financial Statements and Analysis: Collaborate with the finance and accounts team to prepare monthly financial statements, analyze key performance metrics, and provide valuable insights into financial trends.
• Work closely with external auditors during financial audits to ensure a smooth and successful process.
• Identify areas for process improvement in accounting procedures and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with professional certifications like ACCA, ICAN.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a tech startup environment.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks, Wave, Excel, and budgeting processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup culture.
• An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality.
• A passion for creating new systems and solving problems via infrastructure and automation.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of (or experience in) the technology or payments industry, or any of the Big 4s.
• MBA.
• Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/Software Company.
