Senior Accountant

Brickwall Global Investment Limited is an indigenous company duly registered and incorporated in Nigeria (head office in Lagos), to carry out a Real Estate business like Property Development, Property Management, Property Maintenance, Structural Designs, Architectural Designs, and Documentation etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Senior Accountant
Job Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions

• Document financial transactions and substantiate same by carrying out audits
• Participates in drawing out and monitoring of budget in line with management
• Prepare financial statements from incomplete records without supervision including cash flow statements and notes to the accounts.
• Compute tax and preparing tax returns
• Use of relevant softwares/tailored applications for analysis and financial management
• Monitors all transaction and ensures that tax payables and deductibles are made
• Support the head, Accounts to coordinate yearly financial audit
• Verify the authenticity and accuracy of automated accounting documents generated by the information systems.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
• Respect of the timelines for production of regulatory reporting and financial statements.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare monthly budget, trial balance, comparative financial statement, and bank reconciliation statements for clients and for Beckley
• Liaise with clients regularly to obtain records and information required to prepare monthly budget, trial balance, financial statements and bank reconciliation statement
• Quality of the day-to-day bookkeeping, and of the regular financial statements.
• Respect of the timelines for production of regulatory reporting and financial statements.
• Company income tax computations including capital allowances and deferred tax plans
• Ensure the accuracy of account balances and effect correcting entries.
• Ensure the set-up of account plans and the processing of accounting data.
• Monitor fixed assets and stocks.
• All payroll related matters

Main Job Requirements

• Applicants must have a first Degree from a reputable University.
• A certification in ACCA or ICAN is mandatory.
• Applicants must also possess between 6 years post NYSC experience from a reputable organization in related field.
• Applicant must not be more than 35 years.

Required Skills:

• Ability to use Tally accounting software
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
• The individual will be expected to Work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his/her work product.
• Past experience dealing with Tax consultant, LIRS,FIRS and other government institutions
• Excellent Interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication skills
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Computer literate with Intermediate to advanced experience in MS programs particularly MS Excel
• Accuracy and attention to detail
