What You Will Do

• We are looking for a Software Test Engineering Specialist to join our Training & Consulting Team. The successful candidate will need to have extensive skills and knowledge of designing, implementing, and completing test protocols and procedures, evaluating software functions, evaluating, and preparing performance reports, and recommending performance changes.
• The candidate will need to have experience in managing different Software Test Engineering projects from end to end, from working with stakeholders to produce project briefs, carrying out necessary analysis and reports, until delivering the final presentation of insights, implications, and solutions (recommendations) for businesses.
• The candidate is expected to possess the capability and willingness to teach the knowledge and skills to professionals and businesses.
• This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic work environment and develop more advanced skills in a Business Analytics consulting and training business.

Role Summary
As a Software Test Engineer at Pairview, your primary objectives are to:

• Develop specialist course curriculums and training programmes for businesses and professionals who want to develop their skills in Software Test Engineering (both Basic and Advanced Levels).
• Keep up to date with the trends of Software Testing technologies, practices, and governance to ensure that they are well integrated into Pairview training programmes and curriculums.
• Deliver professional training, mentoring and “podcast” style webcasts to both businesses and professionals in Software Test Engineering skills and tools.
• Support and, on occasion, lead the B2B proposal-to-sale process from ideation through requirements capture, solutioning, demo and value articulation.

Role Description

• Engage with businesses and professionals through training sessions to effectively communicate and deliver knowledge and skills
• Integrate the own industry experience into Pairview work experience projects, and transfer the most important, practical insight of the jobs to Pairview training delegates
• Update knowledge bases to ensure that training materials meet industry standards and provide best practice for participants in training courses and projects
• Participate fully in auxiliary activities required to ensure that business objectives are fully met
• Building and refining Software Test Engineering models to understand and predict a range of real-world industry and organisational problems
• Determine prerequisites and contribute to the recruitment of candidates for training programmes by providing best practice methodology
• Establish assessment requirements for training in relation to the goal of developing experts/professionals in the Software Test Engineering field
• Provide support to or lead the planning, management and/or implementation of the corporate clients’ consultancy projects

What You Will Need to Succeed
Essential

• Educated to University Degree level, with a mathematical, numerical or technical background.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Software Test Engineering related role in any industry.
• Understanding of Appium best practices and reusable utilities for automating Apps.
• Practical knowledge on Data-driven testing, Parameterizations, Reusable components, Cucumber hooks, tags & Attributes.
• Ability to write end to end automated tests using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG
• Understanding of Software Performance Testing and Engineering concepts and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of JMeter basic and advanced features
• Ability to design Industry Standard Mobile framework (for both Android and IOS Platforms).
• Demonstrable ability to implement end to end CI/CD pipeline using Appium with framework features such as logging, reporting.
• Proven ability and understanding of developing Cucumber BDD Selenium Test Framework and Concepts such as Dependency Injection, Parallel execution, CI/CD Integration.
• Ability to carry out Performance Testing of Microservices hosted on AWS "Elastic Container Service" ECS and Unit Testing ANNOTATIONS.
• Solid knowledge of REST API Automation and Manual Testing and managing Tests in JIRA.
• Demonstrable ability to create interactive prototypes and full design of Websites and mobile and desktop apps
• Proficiency in the use of Software Test Engineering tools such as Spring Boot Starter Test, Mockito, Junit, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Microsoft Visio, JIRA, REST API, POSTMAN, JMeter, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cucumber, and so on.
• Great communication skills and ability to generate discussions around data analytics to disperse knowledge
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Good understanding of SQL query languages, databases such as SSM, Postgres and MongoDB, and scripting & programming languages such as Java, Python, R and/or Apache Spark and Scala.
• Experience of managing different Software Test Engineering projects from end to end and providing insight to drive business decisions
• Very good analytical skills combined with a result-driven mentality
• Commercially focused with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
• Highly confident in dealing with ambiguity and scoping work with keen attention to details

Desirable:

• Graduate qualifications in BSc, MSc, PhD - STEM (Mathematical Sciences).
• Minimum Foundation Level in Software Testing (preferred).

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
