We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Editorial Intern

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Internship

Responsibilities

• Plan, review, and revise content for publication.
• Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
• Rewrite text when necessary to make it easier for targeted readers to understand.
• Write/edit external correspondence.
• Edit and develop, alongside the customer service representative, the organization's social media content.
• Work with writers to help their ideas and stories succeed.
• Work with other team members to make decisions regarding content and give relevant suggestions.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all manuscripts and contents.
• Work with other team members in creating social media content for the organization and her publications.
• Verify facts cited in materials for publication.
• Develop stories and content ideas according to the publication’s style and editorial policy.
• Any other work related tasks assigned by the management

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field is preferred.
• 0 - 2 years of work experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in conducting research and fact-checking.
• Knowledge of graphic design and visual content creation is a plus.
• Must reside in Ibadan and environs.
