Job Description

• On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for the role of Treasury Manager. The Treasury Manager oversees operational treasury management and ensures compliance with the organisation's established policies and procedures. He/She manages the organisation's foreign exchange exposures, loan portfolio, and related reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports of the organisation ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiating banking services and managing banking relationships.
• Develop and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory organizations in the downstream sector, auditors, solicitors, and other relevant entities.
• Assist to develop and implement treasury strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash management, liquidity, and working capital.
• Monitor and manage the organisation's cash flow, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Review funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior management
• Develop and implement strategies for raising capital, including debt and equity financing.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, 5 of which must have been in a senior role of an organization, interfacing with the Executive team and Financial Partners
• MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantage
• Relevant professional certifications e.g. CFA, ICAN, ACCA or its equivalent
• Knowledge of Financial management, accounting, analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Accounting policies and processes
• Knowledge of ERP Accounting application
• Numerical and analytical skills
• Prior Experience in the Banking Sector is highly preferred
• Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region
