Unicane Industries Limited was established and incorporated as a private limited company in the year 2013 under the company Acts of 1990. Unicane Industries Limited is a member of a long-standing group in Nigeria founded in 1953. The group is a leading ethanol producer in Africa and an industrial group of long experience and very good standing. The group is continuously expanding its activities which now count a wide range of agro-allied activities that include cassava to ethanol processing and refining. At present, its factory is located in Jamata, Kogi State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Turbine Operator
Job Location: Jamata - Lokoja, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• The Turbine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the turbine area which includes the coal-fired boilers and turbine auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start-up the turbines at the authorization of supervisors so as to power the whole factory.
• Servicing of the turbines and filters at the authorization of supervisors.
• Dutifully reporting any abnormal situation on the turbines to supervisors.
• Overseeing the general operations of the turbines both during the day and night on shift basis, for continuous power generation to the whole plant and factory.
• Dutifully writing and typing turbine reports on hourly and daily basis and submitting to supervisors.
• Ensuring that adequate power is been generated and supplied to the whole factory by the turbines as the case may be for on-ward production processes.
• Operate / monitor the equipment and make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct routine rounds on equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Assist maintenance when necessary to support overall maintenance of plant.
• Ensure that the turbine is balanced, and operates according to safety regulations by monitoring the equipment during operations.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 4 years of work experience.
