The Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Administrative post in the under listed Parastatals under the aegis of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).

National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI), Badeggi, Niger State
The Institute has national mandate for research into genetic improvement and production of rice, soybeans, beniseed & sugarcane and total farming systems for the ecological zones covered by Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Plateau, Nassarawa, Taraba, Benue States & the FCT.

Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria (RRIN), Iyanomo, Edo State
The Institute has national mandate for research into genetic improvement, production, and processing of rubber & other latex producing plants.

Federal College of Veterinary & Medical Lab Tech., Vom, Plateau State
The College has mandate to train middle level manpower veterinary & medical laboratory sciences for National & Higher Diploma levels and Associate Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Position: Provost (Chief Executive Officer)

Duties
The Provost (Chief Executive Officer) is the Research/Academic and Administrative Head of the Institute/College and therefore, responsible for the research/academic and administrative management and leadership of the Institute/College.

Qualifications

•     Candidates must be holders of PhD in relevant discipline, have extensive research and teaching experience as evidenced by scientific publications with a minimum of ten (10) years cognate experience in a Research Institute, College or related organization.
•     In addition, candidates must have ability to provide academic/administrative leadership and also have clear and articulated vision for the development of the institute/College.

Terms of Appointment
A single term of Five (5) years only.
