Big Cabal Media is a company creating a new generation of media brands for a new generation of Africans. Since 2014, we’ve launched TechCabal - the largest technology site in Nigeria.

Big Cabal is in places intense and in others relaxed.  We're very driven about getting the results we want; the rest isn't as important. We're a very digital company - all our communications are in Slack, we use Google Docs for practically everything and don't like meetings.  Some of our team works remotely.  We typically try to arrange work between 9am and 5pm WAT and encourage you to have a good work-life balance but that's also very flexible. What we're not flexible about is quality and results. Get things done well and fast and all is well with the world.

Job Description

  • We're is looking for a young writer that is excited about the internet, innovation, startups, venture capital and the business of technology in Nigeria and across Africa.

Requirements
The person must have:

  • A strong command of written English
  • Curiosity and a strong interest in internet, innovation, startups, venture capital and the business of technology
  • Ability to read and understand reports and basic financial documents
  • Strong writing skills
  • In touch with technology and the internet
  • No particular degree experience required

Remuneration and Benefit

  • N80k -150K/month, with 20 days annual leave
