<p><strong>Job Title: </strong><strong>Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)</strong></p> <p><strong>Industry: Fintech</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary: Negotiable</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The role will primarily be responsible to ensure the organization operates in a legal and ethical manner while meeting business objectives by defining, communicating, training and attesting to corporate policies and procedures, evaluating and measuring the state of compliance across the organization, managing investigations into wrong doing and any other matters that violates regulatory/legal requirements among other core functions.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Core competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Good understanding of both regulatory and AML risks associated with the financial sector businesses</li> <li>Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.</li> <li>Develops, initiates, maintains, and periodically revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct&nbsp;</li> <li>Review and update the compliance&nbsp; policies and procedures in line with existing and new legislations I.e&nbsp; AML policy, fraud policy etc</li> <li>Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved</li> <li>Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future,</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Board and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensures proper reporting to regulators, duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required,</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensuring compliance with adequate KYC, KYB and other relevant due diligence expected from financial service,</li> <li>Scrutinizing merchants countries in line with provided&nbsp; Sanctioned countries list,</li> <li>Execute appropriate practices for monitoring fund and adviser service providers including initial due diligence and sub-adviser oversight,</li> <li>Maintain relationship with regulatory and government bodies,</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirement.</strong></p> <p>Advanced degree required, ideally a Post Graduate degree or an MBA/Certified Internal Auditor, with a minimum of 8 years strong business administration/Law/Finance experience ideally senior management role for 5+ years in a financial &ndash; technology organization</p>
