Position: General Manager

Location: Ogun State, Nigeria

Salary: Negotiable

Our Client, a leading FMCG/Food processing company is currently seeking an adaptable and experienced General Manager to coordinate commercial, sales, P&L, factory operations and administrative activities for the business.

Purpose of role

Primarily responsible for managing the company’s entire sales and commercial operations, general administrative activities and strategy drive for the business

Responsibilities

• Manage every aspect of our expanding operation in the country while collaborating with local businesses to acquire all necessary resources and services
• Full P&L responsibility for the business across all functional units of the business.

• Negotiate with vendors and service providers needed for production
• Develop and drive the commercial, marketing and production teams with local expertise while collaborating with leadership to strategize how best to roll out product line across all trading activities.
• Synthesize monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on progress and development
• Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships

Qualification and Skills

• A First degree in a management, Engineering or Business field and/or a Master’s degree, MBA or other relevant qualification, strongly preferred
• A minimum of 15years’ or more experience in commercial/sales management within the FMCG sector (food processing preferably)
• Significant experience in the finance and marketing fields strongly preferred
• Outstanding negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with start-ups is an added advantage.
