Job Position: Production Manager

Job Description

• Are you a fashion enthusiast, with experience in managing a team of tailors and design assistants? This is for you. As the Production Manager will be responsible for planning the production of fashion pieces, schedules and ensuring that the production process is carried out within budget and on time.
• You will be required to oversee the quality of work done by the tailors.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage production time and plan production tasks ahead daily
• Collate weekly payments for tailors
• Sketch designs in a sketchbook daily
• Daily supervise Store Operations
• Send inventory to Stockists monthly and weekly.
• Daily purchase production supplies
• Daily supervise the pattern samples made
• Daily quality control of in-process and finished garments.
• Supervise tailor logbook, create a weekly task list for tailors and assign daily tasks
• Create a monthly schedule for a workshop maintenance
• Source fabrics for Ready-to-Wear and bridal clothing weekly
• Daily supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the workshop and living quarters of the staff.
• Daily monitor non-compliance and report to the Operations Manager.
• Daily responsible for alteration on clothing and bridal/bridesmaids fittings
• Weekly responsible for the pricing and naming of garments
• Weekly and quarterly maintain inventory by implementing purchase plans with all stockists.
• Assist in daily stock counting and quality control checks on newly ordered stock
• Daily manage inventory and purchases from vendors
• Quarterly decide items that need to be marked down
• Supervise the production of low in-stock inventory and manage re-order when low, daily
• Daily ensure that there are cleaning supplies in the storage
• Daily check inventory and maintain the optimal reorder level.
• Daily work with the Creative Director to merchandise products.
• Weekly and quarterly maintain inventory by implementing purchase plans with all stockists.
• Assign deliveries to the logistics/delivery team daily
• Daily ensure that all orders are delivered on a timely basis

Educational Qualification

• Minimum of B.Sc / B.A.

Skills and Abilities:

• Highly analytical, driven and focused
• Must have an eye for fashion and tailoring
• High level of professionalism
• Networking, prospecting and persuasion skills with the ability to identify the needs and challenges of clients
• Must have knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Must have outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude

Experience/Requirements:

• 2 - 3 years experience as a Production Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in the fashion industry is a plus.

Salary
NGN 80,000 Monthly.
