We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Project Site Surveyor

Job Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Function

• The main job of the Project Site Surveyor is to direct the layout of the project’s construction work, compile field survey data and to plan and schedule meetings with contractor representatives, project managers and on-site engineers.
• He is also to determine the position, establishment and monitor elevation of building structural elements which includes external works. He is also to monitor mechanical and electrical fittings on designated projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Establish site referenced survey control system (or otherwise as it may apply to the project) and benchmarks
• Preliminary Site Mapping
• Set out of building outline and stake Grid Lines for consultant confirmation
• Interpret project drawings
• Monitor horizontal and vertical structural elements of buildings
• Check and record survey instrument status and work quality measurements
• Interface with the Site Engineer
• Evaluate staff performance, enforce safety regulations and procedures and directly train crew members.
• Lead and designate activities to assigned survey assistants

Experience / Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree / HND in Surveying & Geoinformatics Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience with at least 3 years in the construction industry
• Professional Qualification in Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) will be an added advantage.
