In our glass container business, we are focused on markets in Africa, which are increasingly the prime regions of investment for our customers. We aim to create value for our customers by building on our position as a leading supplier of glass bottles and complementary packaging solutions in West Africa.

We are recruiting to fill the position below: 

Job Position: Security Officer
Job Location: Ughelli, Delta State
Reports to: Plant HR Manager

Responsibilities

• Develops appropriate security policies and procedures
• Provides direct security & safety training to the workforce
• Monitors compliance with the organization's security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances and other third parties and takes corrective action
• Manages safety & security incident responses & Serves as an internal security consultant to the organization
• Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels and security clearances are maintained
• Performs security risk analysis and periodic activity reviews for security processes
• Monitors advancements in security technologies
• Monitors changes in legislation and accreditation standards that affect security
• Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster safety & security awareness

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences course. Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage
• 8-10 years’ experience working in similar capacity in corporate environment
• Prior experience in military service will be an added advantage
