Purpose

  • Responsible for material handling and movement  which includes  loading/unloading, storing, picking, issuing, packing/unpacking and labeling of Company owned inventory.
  • Responsible for managing day to day operations of Third Party Logistics partner responsible for inspecting and accepting in-coming shipments of inventory against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state and that outgoing items are correctly packed, with completed documentation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform unloading, inspection, storing, picking, issuing, packing, labelling, loading and disposal of inventory items.
  • Accept supplier deliveries checking actual items received are in a suitable condition and per the packing list and/or purchase order and reports discrepancies.
  • Ensure out-going inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation.
  • Optimize warehouse bin locations to improve efficiency & safety.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Update SAP B1 ERP Inventory Management System via computer terminal
  • Responsible for Material Requirement Planning for Toll manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare and provide weekly inventory reports.
  • Perform inventory cycle counting and supports in periodical physical counts.
  • Investigate and resolves local inventory & warehouse issues, as requested by Distribution Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures & Standards.
  • Comply with applicable company policies including, but not limited, to personnel and QHSE.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of HND in either of the following; Purchasing and supply or Accounting and Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in warehouse operations in an FMCG, reputable 3PL operator or MNC.

The following skills are essential:

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Ability to write legibly, prepare and maintain routine records, determine the quality and quantity of stock s received in relation to prescribed specifications, perform accurate arithmetical calculations
  • Work under pressure
  • Sound Knowledge of SAP / ERP Systems

Working Relationships:

  • Internal : Medical , Sales  Admin, and Marketing Department
  • External: Third Party Logistics Service Providers, Company clients, Distributors etc.
