Role Overview


  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Clerk to join the Finance function of Touchstone Paints.
  • The successful candidate will support financial reporting, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and contribute to the organisation’s financial compliance and performance management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and coordinate payment approvals.
  • Monitor and follow up on customer accounts and receivables.
  • Assist with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., tax filings, compliance documentation).
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Support the external audit process and provide documentation and explanations as required.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND from a recognized tertiary institutions in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations applicable in Nigeria.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • High degree of attention to detail, numerical accuracy, analytical capability, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
