Job Description

• We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Officer with a technical background to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase product sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
• Provide insight of the company’s product development and competitive positioning.
• Follow up with potential clients to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
• Possess a good understanding of the oil and gas, maritime, or related industries.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and follow through on leads.
• Contribute to developing effective strategies to promote the company’s products and services to increase company profits.
• Support in the preparation of bids and proposals

Skills & Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / Master's Degree qualification
• Not less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Experience in the maritime or oil & gas industries is compulsory.
• Educational background in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or a related engineering course
• Knowledge of NCDMB, NipeX, NAPIMS processes and portals is an added advantage
• Proven experience working as a business development officer or in a similar role
• Effective communication & presentation skills
• Strong business acumen.
