Job Summary

A firm based in Ikeja axis of Lagos is looking for a skilled Business Manager to lead and supervise its business operations and development. The successful candidate will be in charge of designing/ spearheading business strategies, and managing all day-to-day operations and employee relations.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets.

• Research, develop and implement the business’s marketing and development strategies.

• Establish the company’s goals and objectives.

• Design business strategies and plans to meet the company goals.

• Spearhead the company’s marketing/ promotional campaigns

• Responsible for human resources management

• Make sure that the company has sufficient resources such as personnel, material, and equipment.

• Develop a comprehensive company budget and perform periodic budget analyses.

• Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity

• Supervise the work of other employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Maintain cordial and professional relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers/clients.

• Gather, analyse and interpret external / internal data and write reports

• Assess overall company performance against objectives

• Represent the company in events, conferences etc. for networking, client sourcing and retention purposes.

• Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies.

• Organise and coordinate all office operations and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a business manager or relevant role

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Good knowledge of training research, planning, marketing and facilitation.

• Outstanding business development skills

• Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems

• Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques

• BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

• At least 5years' experience with 2 in a management position. .

Good knowledge of digital marketing/social media management is paramount.
