We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Cashier

Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time
Work Hours: 6–7-hour shifts within the lounge's operational hours (12 PM–2 AM)

Summary

• The Cashier is responsible for managing all financial transactions at The O Lounge, ensuring accurate billing and a smooth payment process for guests. 
• This role involves handling cash and electronic payments, maintaining records, and delivering excellent customer service.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and possess strong numerical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other electronic payment methods.
• Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded in the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Greet guests warmly and assist them with inquiries about billing and payment methods.
• Address customer concerns or discrepancies with professionalism and efficiency.
• Work closely with servers, bartenders, and management to resolve billing issues promptly.
• Coordinate with inventory staff to verify sold items and stock levels.
• Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
• Maintain records of daily transactions and prepare financial reports for management.
• Adhere to all company policies and financial procedures, including cash handling and fraud prevention.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Accuracy in processing payments and maintaining records.
• Customer satisfaction scores related to billing and payment experiences.
• Efficiency in reconciling cash registers and financial reporting.
• Minimal errors or discrepancies in financial transactions.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an FSLC qualification
• 1 - 5 years of previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Basic accounting and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and handling electronic payments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation
N80,000 - N100,000 per month (depending on experience).
