<p><strong>Position: Chief Executive Officer</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Lagos.</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary: Negotiable.</strong></p> <p>Our client, an FMCG manufacturing conglomerate is looking to engage the services of a CEO to head a business NGO focused on empowerment of the female gender in Nigeria.</p> <p><strong>Purpose of role</strong></p> <p>The main purpose of the role is to help to shape the goal of the NGO and at the same time creatively expand ways to leverage the organization&rsquo;s resources.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with the board and staff to define the NGO&rsquo;s mission, communicate it effectively within the NGO, ensure that it serves continuously as an inspiration and guide and execute it.</li> <li>Work with the board and staff to ensure adoption of and adherence to appropriate values and ethical standards</li> <li>Ensure that staff are properly selected, supported and guided and that their professional development is nurtured</li> <li>Work with the board and staff to develop asset investment management and financial administration strategies and systems that are effective and aligned with the NGO&rsquo;s vision/mission and ensure that such strategies and systems are implemented well.</li> <li>Work with the board and staff to establish accountability standards and systems that track the NGO&rsquo;s effectiveness and impact.</li> <li>Contribute to the vision and thought leadership of the field of philanthropy and communicate this vision</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be a female with strong public speaking ability</li> <li>Transparent and high integrity leadership</li> <li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li> <li>Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience</li> <li>Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting</li> <li>Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation</li> <li>Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector</li> <li>Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers</li> <li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff</li>
