Job Summary

  • Petcare Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and organized Clinic Assistant to support our veterinary team in delivering quality care to pets and excellent service to clients.
  • The Clinic Assistant will help with daily clinical operations, attend to clients, assist veterinarians, and ensure the hospital environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and provide assistance with registration and appointment scheduling.
  • Support veterinarians and nurses during consultations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Help in handling and restraining pets safely and humanely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the clinic, consultation rooms, and waiting areas.
  • Assist with preparing and cleaning instruments and equipment.
  • Provide basic pet care guidance and customer service to clients.
  • Handle clerical duties such as filing, recording, and updating medical records when required.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of clients and pets within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or animal care setting is an advantage.
  • Passion for animals and ability to handle pets calmly and gently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to learn and follow veterinary protocols.
  • Minimum of SSCE/OND qualification (higher qualifications are an advantage).
