Job Description

• As a leading remote-based company, we’re open to giving young and creative Frontend and Backend Software Engineers opportunity to join our professional and talented pool of software engineers / developer as graduate trainee.
• You will be committed to contributing to problem-solving technology solutions through innovative thinking and continuous learning.
• The ability to learn and adopt new technologies is reflected in the quality of the product.
• As a software engineer, you work between several small teams and can switch teams and projects as required.
• We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems as we continue to push mobile technology adoption across Africa.
• Ideally, the candidate should be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineers must be skilled in development, writing code, and documenting functionality.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Between 1 to 4 years proven work experience either as a Frontend/Backend/ Full-stack software engineer or developer
• Ability to work full-time remotely.
• Strong competency in atleast one of either Java /Python/Laravel/ Flutter / Dart / React JS/ Angular JS/NodeJS/ React-native/ Iconic / is essential.
• An understanding of CI/CD (DevOps) principles is required
• Good understanding of object-orientated methodologies and design patterns.
• Exposure to Devops & Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GKE(Google Kubernetes Engine) and similar technologies would be an advantage
• Experience with Web Services a plus.
• Experience with C# & Microsoft .NET is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in designing interactive applications
• Experience with test-driven development
• Mastery in software engineering tools
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
• Strong understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, like jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS(For Frontend Developers) and Knowledge of NodeJS would be an advantage.
• Experience working Google technologies; Firebase, Google Maps
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
