Job Position: Software QA Tester Intern

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• We are looking for a young graduate to join our Internship program which in a short period would build the capacity to function as a permanent Associate with the responsibilities highlighted below.

Purpose of Job

• Testing the functionality and useability of new or existing software and ensuring it is bug-free before it goes live. To work closely with the developers, providing feedback on what needs improvement in order to produce top-quality programs that exceed customers’ expectations. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. You also must be competent in executing test cases and be passionate about quality,

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Collaborate with developers for effective strategies and test plans.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience 

• A minimum HND Degree or higher in any field, however, with a background software development.

Nice to have:

• Experience in SDLC and QA testing and other similar roles.
• Experience in project management and QA methodology.
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
