Job Position: Health, Safety, and Environment Officer
Job Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • We are currently seeking a seasoned HSE Officer to join our team and ensure our operations adhere to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all project sites
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Conduct HSE induction and training for new and existing site personnel
  • Maintain accurate records of safety drills, reports, inspections, and certifications
  • Ensure compliance with national safety regulations and client-specific requirements
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective/preventive actions
  • Liaise with external agencies and regulatory bodies as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in the construction or civil engineering sector
  • HSE Level 1, 2 & 3 Certification (ISPON, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian safety legislation and construction safety practices
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to train, mentor, and influence teams on safety practices.
