We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: HSE Officer

Job Locations: Mainland (Ikeja, Ajao estate & Isolo), Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• The HSE Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with national legislation and international best practices.
• The role supports operational activities by proactively identifying risks, conducting safety audits, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilties

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all units.
• Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard analyses.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize and facilitate HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
• Monitor compliance with safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Emergency Response Plans.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and prepare periodic reports.
• Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, fire safety systems, and emergency equipment.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders during safety drills, evacuation procedures, and regulatory inspections.
• Support the development of a positive safety culture and continuous improvement of safety performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experiencein a similar HSE role in manufacturing.
• Have HSE Certifications 1,2 and 3.
• Additional certifications, such as ISO 45001, NEBOSH, IOSH, First Aid/Fire Safety, will be an added advantage.

Salary
N120,000 monthly.
