Karbak Ventures Limited (ISO NG19/90729) is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Company, with approximately two decades’ experience in Electro- Mechanical Projects for FMCG companies in West and East Africa. We have vast experience with plant/equipment installation of numerous sizes and complexity and we pride ourself in the vast capacity built over the years in providing design, procurement and installation supports to numerous FMCG firms such as Coca Cola, Nigeria Breweries, Guinness, Friesland, PZ Wilmar, Murzah Wilmar (Tanzania), Kasapreko (Ghana), etc. and supports for OEMS such Sidel, KHS, Krones, Pentair.

Job Position: Human Resource Generalist


Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for diverse roles across engineering, procurement, and construction departments
  • Develop job descriptions and post openings on appropriate platforms
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with department managers for final selection
  • Implement strategies to attract top talent in competitive technical fields

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Handle employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances professionally and confidentially
  • Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide insights to management for improving retention
  • Mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and management
  • Organize team-building activities and recognition programs

Compensation and Benefits Administration:

  • Administer and explain employee benefits programs, including health insurance.
  • Conduct salary surveys and assist in developing competitive compensation structures
  • Process payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, and status changes
  • Manage annual benefits enrollment process and serve as a liaison with benefit providers

 Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and labor laws
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Stay informed about industry-specific regulations affecting the industry
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure HR practices meet legal and company standards

Performance Management and Training:

  • Coordinate and support the annual performance review process
  • Assist managers in setting performance goals and developing improvement plans
  • Identify training needs and coordinate or conduct training sessions
  • Support succession planning initiatives for key positions

Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring smooth integration into the company
  • Prepare and process new hire documentation
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews and benefits termination

HRIS and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records in the HRIS
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee information

Project-Based HR Support:

  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast and fulfill staffing needs for specific projects
  • Manage contingent workforce, including contractors and temporary staff
  • Assist in mobilizing employees for international assignments, if applicable

Workplace Safety and Wellness:

  • Coordinate with the Safety department to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Promote workplace wellness programs and initiatives
  • Assist in managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs

Strategic HR Initiatives:

  • Contribute to long-term workforce planning and talent management strategies
  • Participate in HR budget planning and cost optimization efforts
  • Support change management initiatives during organizational transitions.
