We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Intern - Human Interest Desk

Job Location: Nigeria
Duration: 6 months

Job Description

Tasks

• Writing and publishing 3 new stories daily
• Publishing 4 - 6 ready articles daily
• Posting your stories to our Facebook pages according to the requirements
• Participating in weekly planning meetings, personal meetings with the manager.

You will learn

• The proper method for pursuing a story and producing contents that will engage the audience;
• CMS and Facebook publishing basics;
• How to create an engaging and life-changing content compliant with Facebook and Google policies;
• Best headline writing practices;
• A chance to work closely with journalists of the media house recognized as the second largest Facebook publisher in the world by Newswhip and best news website in Africa in 2021 by WAN-IFRA.

Requirements

• Degree or Higher Diploma (in journalism/media studies or related field will be an advantage).
• Perfect writing skills; narration and good grammar.
• Great editorial judgment and quality news monitoring skills.
• Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.
• Must be a self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn, adapt and work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
• Must be able to use social media effectively.
