1.) Business Development Officer

Job Description 


  • The Business Development Officer will play a crucial role in driving our client’s growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • This role involves market research, preparing relevant tenders, managing client relationships, and developing strategic plans to expand the company’s service offerings.
  • The Business Development Officer will collaborate across departments to align business development efforts with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Identifying New Business Opportunities:

  • Research and target new markets and clients in sectors such as oil and gas.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships to drive business growth.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Address client needs and provide tailored solutions in engineering and procurement services.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with our client’s capabilities.
  • Set measurable goals to expand the company’s service offerings.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns focused on engineering services.
  • Lead sales initiatives, aiming to meet and exceed targets in drilling, piling, and civil engineering projects.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive business proposals and bids for engineering projects.
  • Ensure proposals are competitive and meet both client and regulatory requirements.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends and client needs.
  • Analyze competitor activities to refine our client’s business strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure cohesive business development efforts.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to support project execution and client satisfaction.

Duty Station:

  • The position is based at our client’s Head Office in Port-Harcourt but will require travel for client meetings within and outside Rivers State.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business development, business management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnership building, sales, or similar roles.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the education and professional development landscape is a plus.

Salary
N500,000 Monthly.

2.) Program Associate

Job Location: Across Nigeria
Employment Type: Full Time
Travel requirement: Up to 40% (Local)
Language proficiency: English and French (Both compulsory)

Role Summary

  • The program analyst will provide technical and operational support for the execution of the program or as assigned on other Client Programs; this will involve day-to-day execution of all program workflows.

Technical Responsibilities
The Program Associate will collaborate with the in-country Nigerian team to provide technical assistance to health facilities and regional stakeholders to achieve the following:

  • Support EPI teams in Nigeria to establish technical working groups with ToRs
  • Support the regional teams in Nigeria to develop annual EPI workplans incorporating key interventions and facilitate quarterly workplan performance reviews
  • Lead the engagement and onboarding of private facilities to provide RI services to communities
  • Support the efficient management of vaccine supplies to maintain optimal stock levels and mitigate vaccine stock outs
  • Engage regional stakeholders to ensure maximum participation in the implementation of proposed interventions
  • Collate and analyze EPI data across key performance indicators to monitor and evaluate service delivery across facilities
  • Develop project work plans, KPIs and implementation budgets.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in routine joint problem-solving sessions with Client team (Both international and Nigeria team)
  • Provide routine updates and progress reports on the implementation of the program interventions.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Science or Social Science courses (degree in Public Health, or health related course is an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Expanded program for Immunization (EPI) planning and implementation (critical requirement), Health system strengthening, Health program management, or a related field with demonstrated track record in successfully implementing and coordinating health programs, focusing on improving health system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in data management, electronic reporting systems and data use for decision making.

Required Compentencies:

  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French Languages. Communication skills include active listening, negotiation, and influence, giving and receiving critical feedback and public speaking;
  • Average computer usage skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point.
  • Fast learner, open to learning from peers, subordinates, and supervisors collaboratively and at a rapid pace;
  • Results oriented performer, experienced in developing and tracking self and team with clear KPIs;
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytics.

3.) HR Generalist

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Reports to: General Manager
Travel Requirements: Less than 20 percent

Description and Objectives

  • The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will play a critical role by managing various HR functions and providing support to employees and management.
  • The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for external employees and management, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
  • The ideal candidate will have the responsibility of managing all HR activities as well as identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent and helping Talent Lab’s clients build a diverse and skilled workforce both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding and Integration:

  • Orientation Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive orientation programs to acclimate new employees to the company culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation, such as employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and benefits enrollment forms, are completed accurately and timely.

Payroll Processing:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and address any discrepancies.

Change Management:

  • Transition Planning: Develop and execute transition plans that include timelines, milestones, and key deliverables to ensure a smooth integration process.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders to manage expectations and reduce uncertainty.

Employee Relations:

  • Support and Counseling: Provide support and counseling to employees experiencing difficulties with the transition, addressing any concerns or grievances.
  • Engagement Initiatives: Implement initiatives to boost employee morale and engagement during the transition period.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for receiving feedback from employees about the transition process and make necessary adjustments.

Compensation and Benefits Analysis:

  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to determine competitive salary and benefits

Conflict Resolution:

  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during the transition, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  • Mediation: Act as a mediator between employees and management to resolve disputes and foster mutual understanding.

Performance Management Systems:

  • Manage and maintain performance management software or tools used for goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback.
  • Develop and track HR metrics and KPIs related to turnover, retention, recruitment, and other HR functions.
  • Engage with potential candidates through personalized outreach and establish strong relationships.

Training and Development Programs:

  • Coordinate and track employee training and development programs, including e-learning platforms or specialized software.

Workforce Planning and Analytics:

  • Use HR data and analytics tools to assist in strategic workforce planning.
  • Identify trends and patterns in employee data to support talent acquisition and retention strategies.

Employee Engagement Surveys:

  • Administer and analyze employee engagement surveys, leveraging technology for data collection and analysis.
  • Develop action plans based on survey results.
  • Implement and maintain employee self-service portals that allow employees to access HR- related information and perform tasks online.

Institutional Responsibilities:

  • Strong organizational skills for managing employee data, interview notes, and other documentation and ability to generate reports and analytics to track HR metrics.
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, hiring managers, HR colleagues, and other departments.
  • A commitment to staying updated on industry best practices, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and HR-related trends.

Duty Station

  • The role is in Talent Lab’s Head Office but will require client calls in and outside the FCT.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field;
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive & Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role in the developmental sector.
  • Proven experience with change management, staff transition, mergers & acquisition would be an added advantage.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHRi, CIPM).
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
