1.) Chief Accountant

Job Summary

• The Chief Accountant performs daily accounting, finance, and treasury activities as well as additional analysis, responsibilities that may include support of the management team in a variety of operational decisions that have a financial impact and ensures compliance with state and federal financial regulations. 
• She or he engages in financial analysis in such areas as review of ledgers/accounts, cost reduction analysis, and review of operational performance.

What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

• Performs month-end accounting activities such as bank, cards and petty cash reconciliations.
• Validates the financial transactions in NetSuite according to company policies and regulations.
• Coordinates with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within the deadlines.
• Monitors compliance of internal controls by project accountants and escalates procedures weakness and non-compliance to Deputy Controller.
• Assist in internal and external auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Monitor accuracy of all accounting entries and the precision of supporting documentation.
• Validates accounting entries to the general ledger and creates recurring journal entries.
• Prepares end of the month supporting schedule and adequately monitors projects advances, prepayments and accrued expenses.
• Ensures compliance with cost allocation policy and all other Federal funding cost guidelines.
• Oversees the general ledger system and Trial Balance on a monthly basis and ensures corrections are made in a timely manner.
• Engages in benchmarking with other in-country F&A teams to establish areas of potential financial and/or operational improvements. Interprets the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
• Reviews company bottlenecks and recommends changes to improve the overall level of company throughput as it relates to the processing of accounts payable. Creates additional analysis and reports as requested by Management.
• Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, training classes and supervision.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
• Performs any other duties assigned by Management.

Who you are

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:

• Master’s or Bachelors degree from a college or university in Finance and Accounting or any other related field.
• Minimum of Six (06) years professional accounting/finance experience preferably with a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough understanding of accounting standards and regulations (GAAP/IFRS etc.) in non-profit business contexts.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial and accounting reports.
• Proficiency in the use of MS-office tools i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• In-depth knowledge and working experience Microsoft Excel pivot tables, formula development, cost control checks, and synchronized or linked tabs that ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP usage - Working knowledge of NetSuite will be a plus.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment, an effective planner with proven time management skills is necessary; attention to detail, action-oriented, personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility with great team liaison skills.

2.) Senior Data Engineer

Job Location: Abuja / Kano

Purpose of the position 

• The Global Health Monitoring (GHM) unit at eHA focuses on innovative solutions like remote temperature monitoring devices to transform cold chain management. 
• This aligns with eHA's mission to build stronger health systems.
• The Senior Data Engineer carries out the design and implementation of data engineering functions within a data-first organization. 
• The focus is on building data pipelines and effectively communicating technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences.
• The provision of these services is critical to ensuring the organization's capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, complex and ambiguous environment while adapting to emerging data needs.

What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

• Architect, build, and maintain eHA GHM’s data warehouse from scratch, ensuring the team is fully informed of the outputs. This enables seamless integration with related functions, accelerates Data Science and Business Analyst research, and addresses challenges to sustaining ongoing data-driven outputs
• Own data pipelines and integrations - from sources such as eHA GHM transactional and IoT data, software vendor data, and partner or purchased data for consumption by the data team.
• Coordinate with the production backend team to efficiently manage data pipelines and integrations for two systems with different requirements, sustaining data pipeline execution by advocating for the data team's needs and incorporating evolving requirements from both the data and backend/product teams
• Manage Databricks data instance for scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data ingestion.
• Automate data transformation and cleaning to ensure consistency and quality.
• Implement geo-tagging workflows to integrate location-based data.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with security protocols and regulatory standards
• Maintain expert knowledge of emerging data engineering tools, architectures, and processes, evaluate their tradeoffs, and evaluate the data team’s need to adopt them. Lead the development and ownership of eHA GHM’s data engineering roadmap, ensuring solutions align with established data quality, efficiency, security, and compliance standards.
• Create and maintain a data dictionary, ensuring consistent data meaning, integrity, and alignment within the data warehouse.
• Lead and mentor a data engineering team, ensuring the adoption of best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in performance, scalability, and quality

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and working with data technologies.
• 3+ years of experience architecting cloud-based data solutions, preferably using AWS or GCP.
• 1+ year of experience in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, and distributed computing tools.
• Proficiency in Databricks Platform
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in relational databases.
• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

3.) Senior Coordinator, Data Analyst

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data analyst to join our organization. 
• The Senior Data analyst will be responsible for managing, analyzing spatial and non spatial  datasets, conducting spatial analysis, and providing strategic insights through data-driven decision-making.
