1.) Chief Investment Officer

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a highly competent and result-driven Chief Investment Officer to join its dynamic team.
  • The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be responsible for setting and executing the investment strategy of the asset management company.
  • The ideal role holder will lead portfolio management, research, and trading functions to drive superior investment performance across all asset classes. 
  • The role requires balancing long-term investment strategy with short-term performance targets while managing risk and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s overall investment philosophy and strategy.
  • Set asset allocation models and risk parameters in line with client objectives and market conditions.
  • Advise the Board and Executive Management on market trends, investment opportunities, and risks.
  • Oversee the management and performance of all investment portfolios.
  • Monitor and adjust portfolios to achieve targeted returns and risk metrics.
  • Ensure consistency in the investment approach across all asset classes.
  • Lead and mentor the investment and research teams, including portfolio managers, analysts, and traders.
  • Build a high-performance culture that fosters collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Supervise trading activities and ensure alignment with portfolio strategy and market conditions.
  • Ensure trades are executed efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Person Specification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in asset or investment management.
  • MBA, CFA or other advanced investment qualifications (strongly preferred).
  • Relevant regulatory certifications/licensing (as applicable in your jurisdiction).
  • Proven track record of leading investment teams and managing portfolios across multiple asset classes.
  • Experience in developing and executing investment strategies and asset allocation models.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire investment teams.
  • Deep analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and portfolio risk management.
  • Ability to set and articulate long-term investment strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong orientation to client needs.
  • Strong integrity, judgment, and commitment to regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities.

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to ensure workforce capability.
  • Optimize talent management processes for operational efficiency and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with client objectives and industry trends.
  • Maintain the organisational structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
