1.) Auto Mechanic (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

Description


  • The Auto Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty trucks to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime.
  • The role requires strong mechanical expertise, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • The successful candidate will carry out routine servicing of engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension systems, and drivetrains on heavy-duty trucks.
  • They will diagnose mechanical faults using manual checks and diagnostic tools and implement effective repair solutions.
  • The mechanic will also conduct preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and fleet maintenance schedules.
  • The role involves inspecting vehicles for roadworthiness, identifying worn or damaged components, and replacing parts as required. The Auto Mechanic will maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, report recurring faults, and advise management on parts replacement and vehicle condition.
  • Compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards is essential at all times.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently or as part of a fleet maintenance team and may be required to respond to breakdowns or emergency repairs when necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and truck mechanical systems
  • A technical certification or trade test is an added advantage
  • Ability to work in a workshop and field environment
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

2.) Auto Electrician, Heavy Duty Trucks

Responsibilities

  • The Auto Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in heavy-duty trucks to ensure reliable operation and safety.
  • This role requires in-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and modern truck electronics.
  • The successful candidate will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults related to wiring, lighting systems, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and control units.
  • They will work on truck dashboards, instrument clusters, ECU systems, and other electronic components, ensuring all systems function correctly.
  • The Auto Electrician will install and maintain electrical accessories such as trackers, GPS units, reverse cameras, and other fleet-related devices where required.
  • They will use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate service records, following safety procedures, and collaborating with mechanics and fleet supervisors are key aspects of the role.

Requirements

3.) Welder / Fabricator

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our workshop in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal structures and components according to specifications, ensuring high quality, safety, and durability.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Welder/Fabricator will read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and job specifications accurately. The role involves cutting, shaping, and assembling metal materials using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • The candidate will perform welding tasks using methods such as arc welding, MIG, or gas welding, depending on job requirements.
  • They will fabricate gates, frames, supports, tanks, racks, and other metal structures as required.
  • The role also includes inspecting finished products to ensure strength, alignment, and quality standards are met. The Welder/Fabricator will maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition, follow safety procedures at all times, and keep the work area clean and organized. Occasional installation or repair work may be required at client sites.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate must have proven experience as a welder or fabricator, preferably in a workshop or construction environment.
  • Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements is essential.
  • The candidate should have good knowledge of welding techniques, metal types, and fabrication processes.
