1.) Senior Process Engineer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract - Fixed Term

Job Summary


  • The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in the front-end planning, design, development, and optimization of small scale LNG processing facilities.
  • This role involves providing technical expertise in process engineering for LNG liquefaction, regasification, and storage systems.
  • The candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and safe project execution, from conceptual design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:

  • Lead process design activities for LNG projects, including liquefaction, regasification, and related systems.
  • Provide expertise in process simulation, heat and material balance, equipment sizing, and optimization of LNG processes.
  • Act as the technical focal point for process engineering during all project phases.

Process Design & Simulation:

  • Develop and review PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
  • Perform process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or other simulation software.
  • Conduct heat and material balance calculations and equipment sizing (compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.).

LNG System Optimization:

  • Evaluate LNG liquefaction cycles (e.g., C3MR, SMR, DMR) and recommend improvements.
  • Support process optimization to enhance plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and minimize emissions.
  • Validate and optimize OEM design for modularized equipment packages

Project Execution Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) during FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning phases.
  • Review and approve technical documents, vendor packages, and specifications for LNG systems.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure designs comply with international standards and industry codes (API, ASME, NFPA, and ISO).
  • Participate in HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years of process engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on LNG projects.
  • Strong understanding of LNG liquefaction and regasification technologies.
  • Experience with simulation tools like Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, or UniSim.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in developing PFDs, P&IDs, and process models.
  • Familiarity with major LNG processes, including C3MR, SMR, DMR, and ORV vaporization systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and ISO.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modular LNG plants.
  • Exposure to cryogenic processes, compressors, and rotating equipment.

2.) Managing Director (MD)

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • The Managing Director (MD) will lead the operations, strategic direction, and growth of the midstream business in the Energy sector, mainly LNG.
  • This role is responsible for overseeing the gas processing, commercialization, transportation, storage, and distribution of LNG products.
  • The MD will work closely with senior leadership, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and sustainable growth while optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership in the development of long-term business plans, capital investments, and expansion projects within the midstream sector.
  • Drive the company’s market position and competitive advantage by identifying new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the company, including transportation systems (pipelines, terminals), storage facilities, and logistics.
  • Ensure all midstream operations meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies for safety, environmental sustainability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to continuously improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize asset utilization.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Optimize capital expenditures, manage cost controls, and maximize revenue streams while ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international regulatory standards governing midstream oil and gas operations, including environmental regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Lead the company’s safety culture by enforcing and promoting a zero-incident safety program.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, government agencies, regulators, and joint venture partners.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and with governmental bodies.
  • Ensure effective communication between internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, inspire, and manage the senior leadership team and other key personnel within the company.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture that emphasizes high performance, accountability, and employee development.
  • Oversee talent recruitment, training, and succession planning for all operational and executive roles.

Sustainability and Innovation:

  • Promote the integration of sustainability practices within the company’s operations, ensuring alignment with environmental goals and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Explore and implement innovative technologies that improve operational efficiencies, reduce environmental impact, and position the company as a leader in midstream solutions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Financial performance (revenue, EBITDA, profitability).
  • Operational efficiency (asset utilization, cost control, system reliability).

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Mech, Process, Petroleum or other related tech degree. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on midstream operations (pipelines, storage, transportation).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or executive role, preferably as a Managing Director, VP, or General Manager within the oil and gas midstream sector.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex operations and delivering financial and operational results.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of midstream operations, including marketing, commercial agreements, transportation, storage, logistics, and infrastructure management.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work effectively with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and joint venture partners.
  • Ability to work in a small company through early phase development.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, health and safety standards, and environmental compliance within the oil and gas industry.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead key discussions both internal and external. Develop slides/presentations to provide understanding and illustration. Comfortable presenting to a diverse audience with varying degree of understanding of gas processing and commercialization.
  • Excellent understanding of and be able to speak to all key activities relating to the company’s dealings including but not limited to tactical and strategic activities.
  • Strong technical understanding of gas processing and handling.

3.) Project Manager

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects with technical and execution difficulty.
  • The Project Manager will lead the team through planning, design, and execute oil/gas facilities projects.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform full cycle scoping, preliminary design, cost estimating, economic analysis, and field development planning.
  • Leads development of project proposals and coordinates submission, clarifications and interfaces processes.
  • Supervises and approves facility modifications, installation, decommissioning, and other related work as well as monitoring costs.
  • Engage and manage outside engineering and construction support (consultants and/or Engineering firms) on an as-needed basis.
  • Act as liaison for technical and commercial support during contractual negotiations
  • Capable of demonstrating effective people skills to interact with clients, service providers, peers and support staff and field personnel.
  • Must be willing and capable of effectively soliciting ideas from all people that are involved in the project to maintain a high degree of efficiency and ownership to meet the goals of the projects.
  • Must be willing and available to travel to field locations on a regular basis, or as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with Westflux policies and practices and applicable codes, recommended practices, and all government regulations.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university or college with a degree in mechanical, chemical or petroleum engineering.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of minimum of engineering experience, including end-to-end engineering, design, estimating, and field project execution.
  • Experienced Project Management skills for capital projects.
  • Strong Leadership experience that can bring cross-functional teams together to deliver the project.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work closely with a broader and diverse team.
  • Experience in the areas of cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling, planning, and contracting projects.
  • Experience in reading and in creating block flow diagrams, P&IDs, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised in achieving set goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special ability to translate complex technical information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce.
  • Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT and Excel). Preferred experience with commonly used industry software, especially process modeling and project management tools.
