We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Loan Collection / Recovery Officer

Job Location: Oregun - Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments.
• Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle questions or complaints.
• Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues.
• Update account status and database regularly.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary.

Job Requirements

• OND / HND / B.Sc is preferred
• Proven experience as a debt collector.
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Apt in negotiating and persuading
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
• Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.

Workdays:

• Monday - Saturday (Work Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm).
• Break Period: 12pm - 1pm.

Salary / Benefits

• Gross Salary: Salary: N65,000 - N80,000 Monthly + (basic pay, performance, Saturday pay is double the pay, Seniority allowance and Transport subsidy inclusive)
• Weekly bonus.
• Public holiday is overtime pay paid times 3 for that day and are still paid as statutory at the end of the month.
