Main Purpose of Job
- We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Marketing Lead to join our awesome Marketing team!
- You will be responsible for guiding and owning crucial functions including corporate branding, brand communications, trade marketing, product marketing and public relations for Afrimash. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall company's off-line marketing strategy to drive acquisition and retention.
- Marketing strategies are extremely important to our company's success, so you will play a crucial role in enhancing Afrimash’s brand image and brand awareness.
- You will also be leading and implementing channel-specific marketing strategies and plans for our Agent Network Program.
- Our ideal candidate is a technology-savvy team player who is a data-driven, energetic, process-driven, detailed, people-oriented and accurate person who loves marketing, public relations, media and other forms of traditional marketing. He or she should be a creative problem solver, who can take the lead but can also collaborate with smaller teams and know how to juggle multiple priorities in marketing
Key Tasks
- Provide strategic input and direction for the brand, developing style guides, templates, and other materials, developing non-campaign brands while keeping the company’s vision, mission, and objectives in mind; and advising internal and external stakeholders on issues relevant to the brand.
- Responsible for the development, execution and performance of all trade marketing programs created to enhance the presence of the Afrimash brand in defined relevant channels.
- Responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of all of our offline marketing channels, inclusive of TV, Radio, Print Media, Out of Home, Point-of-sale, partnerships, and relationship marketing with more to come.
- Track and analyze the performance of advertising campaigns.
- Test, target and optimize across channels and be creative with advertising, product offers and partnerships.
- Leads and manages the creation process of marketing materials and assets for all brands including signage, campaigns, marketing collateral, PowerPoints, communication templates, etc.
- Identify buyer insights to feed into the trade marketing strategy and translate them into winning customer experiences and actionable plans that deliver on the agent network objectives.
- Analyze performance of all marketing programs to identify the best opportunities for optimization.
- Responsible for corporate communications and the coordination of activities associated with Afrimash's participation at tradeshows or events.
- Create and deliver Agent Network Execution guidelines. Develop and manage trade marketing assets (e.g. digital and physical POS, content, offline marketing and sales collateral) for the use of the sales team and merchandisers.
- Analyze market conditions and made recommendations to develop trade promotion plans; create strategies to promote advertising offerings and motivate trade partners.
- Work closely with the sales team on customer-specific trade marketing needs, towards achieving the revenue and sales targets for the organisation
- Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with various members of the media.
- Oversees corporate communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry magazines.
- Leads communications for major business initiatives and events, attends to press releases and responds to enquiries.
- Manages the production of company-branded collaterals and corporate gift items, including identification and negotiation with relevant vendors and suppliers, stakeholders and business partners such as director, key clients, industry colleagues.
- Develops, organizes and manages company events including periodic employee bonding programmes and activation programs with partners to improve brand visibility
- Custodian of all internal communication and media activity, formulates and implements public relations strategies, selects and manages communications with external agencies, as well as develops media marketing strategies and other non-campaign activities.
- Responsible for creating a yearly commercial calendar plan and implementing long-term communication strategy.
- Manages and produces all Offline artwork and graphics, including amendments until completion.
- To support the rest of the Marketing team in the collation and interpretation of campaign results and make recommendations for improvements.
Entry Requirements
- First Degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication or similarly relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in Brands and Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Trade Marketing and any traditional marketing field.
- Demonstrable experience leading corporate communications and media buying
- Highly creative in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in off-line marketing and measurement.
