We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Tax Manager - Finance

Job Location: Apapa, Lagos

The Job


  • Provide innovative tax management, planning, and tax-savings strategies, backed with statistical data and/or analysis. 
    Be abreast with all tax regulations and new promulgation/enactments and advise finance management accordingly.
  • Provide advisory support to Food Division and Business Units on tax matters as may be required. 
  • Review and reconcile general ledger entries for tax implications; provide corrective and improvement measures accordingly. 
  • Ensure compliance, timely filing and remittance of all taxes and levies (such as Expatriate PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, ET, business premises levy, development levy, etc.) within government time frame. 
  • Manage relationship with tax authorities and consultants and supervise all tax audits.
  • Provide comprehensive report on every tax audit exercise and give regular status update on tax cases, remittances, levies, fees, payments to agents and consultants.
  • Apply a holistic approach to determine impact to various taxes and ensure that tax position is optimized.
  • Review contracts for commercial and regulatory compliance and efficiency.
  • Ensure all tax queries and correspondences are responded to, and appropriate steps are taken to avoid penalties due to non-compliance.

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Professional Certification is required e.g, ICAN, ACCA

Experience:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years cognate experience in a similar role.
  • Consulting or FMCG background from a multinational is an added advantage.

The Person must:

  • Be proactive and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Have problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Be comfortable with at least 50% travel on the job

2.)  Assistant Manager, Trade Development

Job Location: Nigeria

The Job

  • Responsible for managing and developing all aspects of FMN business relationship/performance with Dealers to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Manage the retail redistribution team and ensure all teams deliver against their monthly KPIs.
  • Coach the redistribution team, working closely with the Area Sales Manager to ensure that training is embedded.
  • Conduct surveys, gather and report market and competitive intelligence to assist in Management’s decision making.
  • Ensure agreed SOPs are strictly adhered to.

Qualification

  • B.Sc. or HND in any discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in FMCG.

The Person Must:

  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Be self-driven and target oriented.
  • Have good people management skills.

3.)  Area Sales Manager, NW & NE

Job Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose of the Job

  • The purpose of this job is to drive incremental sales of Fertilizers, Seeds and Chemicals within a defined geographical Area to exceed set Area targets.
  • This is achieved through maintaining positive relationships with channel partners and Team within allocated Area.

The Job

  • Setting sales targets for individual reps and team as a whole and developing strategies to meet set goals.
  • Coaching, evaluating, and monitoring team’s performance. Also motivates his team to performance.
  • Increase GAIL’S business opportunity through various alternative channels e.g the stockist strategy.
  • Personal managing key Agro-Dealers to ensure annual plans are in place to secure dealers’ investment in own business
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research
  • Compiling and analyzing sales figures to aid decision making.
  • Drive the sales of all Inputs (fertilizers, seeds, and chemicals) to exceed sales targets set for Area.
  • Expand the customer base of the Area through Agro-Dealers, Sub-Dealers, Wholesalers, and Retailers recruitment.
  • Rendition of reports at agreed intervals.
  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors’ activities.

Qualification

  • Degree / HND in Agriculture or related courses.
  • MBA / M.Sc is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in FMCG.
  • Agri-Input Sales Experience is an added advantage.

The Person Must:

  • Have good time management and organizational skills.
  • Pay great attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Second to none sales and persuasion skills.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
